In this sermon we wrestle with the difficult reality of God commanding the destruction of the Amalekites in the Old Testament. How can a good and loving God sanction such an act at the hand of His people? We look at the context of Redemptive History, the Amalekites specially and then how this points us to the end of all things.

God’s Word Against eli

In this weeks sermon we see God’s response to the sins of Eli and his house. God is perfect in holiness and justice and though He is also patient and long-suffering, there comes a point when God desires to execute his justice upon unrepentant sinners. And yet, even in the midst of this sobering word against Eli, God also hold forth a promise of a coming priest who is faithful and carries out God’s will perfectly!
