In this sermon we continue in our study in the gospel of Matthew. Matthew presents five prophecies that Jesus fulfills in the early years of his life and Matthew draws from themes and prophecies from the Old Testament to show us how Jesus is truly the promised King of Israel. In this sermon we consider the final three prophetic fulfillments: the flight to Egypt, the death of children in Bethlehem and the return of Jesus to Nazareth.

In this sermon we consider the extraordinary way in which the Lord Jesus came into the world. Through various proofs, God confirmed the true identity of Jesus to Israel and to all the nations. Matthew describes the supernatural conception, the protection of the Father, the Prophetic fulfillment and also the unique names of Jesus; all of which call us to worship Christ the King of kings.

As we continue with Paul’s brief, but rich confession found in 1 Timothy 3:14-16, we come to the witness of Christ. The angels and the ambassadors of God among men serve as some of the primary witnesses of Christ. In this sermon we look at these witnesses and how they pointed to Christ throughout redemptive history up to the present day.
