About

Here at Redeeming Grace Bible Church we seek to know Christ and to make Him known among the nations.  We are sinners saved by the grace of God made available to us through the perfect life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  We stand upon the Bible as the perfect Word of God which is breathed out by God and sufficient to us as God’s special revelation of Himself.  Below are a list of our core values.

Our Core Values

1.    TRUTH

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” 2 Tim 3:16-17

2. Lofty View of God

“In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of his glory!”And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!” Isa. 6:1-5

We value a high view of God which should manifest itself in our lives:
• by holy living; a hatred of sin and the love of righteousness
• by a demand for excellence in all we do
• by an increasing involvement in private and corporate worship.

 3. FREEDOM IN CHRIST

 “Now the Lord[a] is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”       II Cor. 3:17

Freedom in Christ prompts us to live with loyalty toward Christ and not to our selfish desires, nor the world. The work of salvation produces within us an ethic to emulate Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. We strive to live in the grace found in the Lord Jesus.

 4. PRAYER

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” Acts 2:42,

 “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” James 5:16

After we receive the truth, cultivate a lofty view of God, and grow in our freedom in Christ, then confident and effective prayer is an outflow.  It is an integral part of living in the Spirit and the fuel of our personal and corporate worship.

5. PROPER VIEW OF FAMILY

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” Eph. 6:1-4

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[b] You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” Dt. 6:4-7

Our ministry is designed to strengthen the family, not undercut it.  We are eager to define aright the biblical role of male leadership.  We want to create an atmosphere that enables parents to take the role as the main disciplers of their children.

6.  THE BLESSINGS AND DEMANDS OF COVENANT COMMUNITY

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” Acts 2:42-47

There are great blessings come from being joined in covenant community. In family-like relationship within the church there are also great demands. This requires us to steward our spiritual gifts, time, and resources for the kingdom of God to advance.

7. DISCIPLESHIP IN SMALL GROUPS

“…how I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you in public and from house to house,” Acts 20:20

“And he appointed twelve (whom he also named apostles) so that they might be with him and he might send them out to preach…”Mark 3:14

We work to encourage discipleship through small groups and a midweek Bible study and time of prayer and fellowship.

 8. PERSONAL EVANGELISM

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Matt. 28:19-20

As we endeavor to live empowered by the Holy Spirit we believe personal relationships fuel the ministry of the church, not necessarily large events.  We strive to live on mission.  This causes us to see our mission field inside of our homes, at our work places, in the community and around the world. We desire to make the most of every opportunity in order to share the gospel in our personal circles.  We value the proclamation of the gospel with our words and actions.

Purpose

The purpose of Redeeming Grace is to live in the presence of, under the authority of, and to the Glory of God. We are a called out people committed to glorifying God (our vision) through worship and

obedience to Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit, by the preaching of His Word, the proclaiming of His name, the discipling of His people, and the spreading of His renown (our mission) for the joy of all nations (our goal). {Ephesians 1:3-14, Acts 2:42, Romans 12:1-2, Matt. 28:18-20, Isaiah 26:8, Psalm 67:1-2}
