Once again, Jesus uses imagery that is generally viewed negatively and shows how it is essential for the citizen of His kingdom. Hunger and thirst are typically seen as problems to be solved. Yet, when it comes to righteousness, hunger and thirst are blessed qualities. What does it mean to hunger and thirst for righteousness? How do we come to possess such a desire in the first place? What does it mean that those with such cravings will be satisfied? In this sermon, we will consider these questions together.
